On March 21st, 2024, the third " Carbon Neutrality Action Alliance Member Conference and Carbon Neutrality Seminar," co-hosted by the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange and the China Carbon Neutral Action Alliance, was successfully held in Ninghai, Zhejiang Province. Improving solar cell efficiency and enhancing encapsulation schemes are crucial for reducing carbon emissions. Currently, mainstream encapsulation schemes are glass-glass with aluminum alloy frames, which are high-energy-consuming materials with relatively high carbon emissions. Therefore, as the world's largest manufacturer of PV backsheets, Jolywood, adhering to its original vision as ‘Cultivator of Green Energy’, chooses to use transparent backsheet instead of glass and self-developed steel frames with lower carbon emissions instead of aluminum alloy frames. Overall, compared to glass-glass encapsulation schemes, carbon emissions can be reduced by 30% to 40%, aligning more with the trend of carbon neutrality development.
